Mike Faulkner – Creative Director D-Fuse

Being the founder of D-Fuse, Mike Faulkner’s career spans 20-years in the design and art worlds. Beginning in print design for album sleeves, his work has encompassed web design, broadcast production and video live performance. The D-Fuse DVD D-Tonate_00, released 2004, pioneered innovative use of interactive DVD features for audiovisual work, and led US musician Beck to commission D-fuse to create 26 films and the menu interface for the DVD release of his album Guero in 2005, as well as develop the visual live show for the Guero world tour. D-Fuse’s video installation Small Global has been shown at Eyebeam, New York, in 2005, and will form the centrepiece of the first solo exhibition of D-Fuse’s work at Mu, Eindhoven/Netherlands in October 2006.
D-Fuse's visual art has been seen + screened internationally at events including: Sonar [Barcelona], onedotzero festivals, Nokia Lab in St Petersburg + Moscow, Mori Arts Centre [Tokyo], Eyebeam [NYC], San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Prix Ars Electronica [Linz] the Rotterdam + Seoul Film Festivals, Lisbon + Valencia Biennales + Rio de Janeiro International Short Film Festival, Siggraph 06 Art Show, and many more.
Matthias Kispert – Creative Director Audio D-Fuse
Nationality: Austrian
Matthias Kispert is a sound artist, sound designer and lecturer, and has been working with D-Fuse since 2004. He has completed a BA (First Degree Hons.) in Sound Art at LCC under Dr Cathy Lane. His work focuses on conceptual sound pieces for projects developed in collaboration with artists working in other media, and commercial sound design with an experimental approach, with his sound design business WKSOUND. Besides this, he is a member of the live sound manipulation collective CrowdFormation.
Matthias Kispert’s work has been shown at the South London Gallery, the Tate Britain, Eyebeam [New York], Lothringer Dreizehn [Munich], and others. He is lecturing at the BA Sound Art at LCC and at the MA Interactive Digital Media at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication.
